What one purchase covers
Milkloft Pro is bought once and Family Sharing is switched on, so up to six people in the same Apple family unlock it from that one purchase. The second phone taps Restore purchase in settings. There is no second licence, no seat, and nothing that renews.
The limit is worth knowing before you set it up: the purchase is shared, the stash is not. With no server there is no shared inventory, so each phone holds its own list. In practice one of you keeps the record and the other reads the answer, which is usually how it works anyway.
The one thing not to do
Milk that has thawed does not go back in the freezer. The CDC and the NHS say so, the ABM makes no recommendation either way, and the app is stricter than all three here: it will not let a bag that left the freezer return to it, even in the case where the CDC allows refreezing during a power outage. If a bag came out and is not going to be used, that is a conversation for the morning, not a decision to make tired at the freezer door.

Do we have to buy the app twice?

Does buying it together mean we share the same stash?
No, and this is the honest limit. Family Sharing shares the purchase, not the data: there is no server holding a shared inventory, so each phone keeps its own. One of you keeps the list, the other reads what to do.
How do I warm breast milk in the middle of the night?
Warm water, never the microwave, which is the CDC’s wording and the reason is hot spots. Once it has been warmed, the guideline windows are short, so warm about what the baby will drink.
What do I do with what is left in the bottle?
