Stay with Pump Log if…
- The number you care about is what came out of this session, and you want a timer running while it does.
- You log from your wrist. Pump Log lists an Apple Watch app; Milkloft has none in this release.
- You already have a year of sessions in it and the trend charts are what you open it for.
Switch to Milkloft if…
- Your real question is the freezer: how much is in there, and which bag comes out tonight.
- Your milk lives in more than one place, and you want each place counted rather than one total.
- You want a use-by date that says which guideline produced it, and lets you switch the source.

The honest summary
These two apps do not really compete. One is about the twenty minutes you spend attached to a pump, and the other is about the six months that milk then spends in a freezer. An exclusive pumper often needs both halves, and it is fair to be annoyed that one app rarely does both.
What we can say for our half is what the page above lists, and what the app shows on screen: the place, the order, the estimated limit and the guideline behind it. What we will not do is describe features of anyone else's app that its own listing does not describe. If Pump Log added the freezer side tomorrow, this page would be wrong, and we would rather you told us than that you took our word for it.

Is there an alternative to Pump Log that tracks the freezer stash?
That is the gap Milkloft was built for. Pump Log’s listing describes session logging, reminders and statistics; it does not describe an inventory of stored milk by place, a use-first order or expiration dates. Milkloft starts where the bag goes in the freezer.
Does Milkloft time my pumping sessions?
No. There is no timer and no pump integration, and there is no Apple Watch app in this release. If the session is the part you want tracked, Pump Log does that and Milkloft does not.
Can I use both?
Plenty of people would. They answer different halves of the same day: one the session, the other the freezer. Nothing in either app prevents it.
Is Pump Log a subscription?
Its App Store listing shows it as free with in-app purchases, with two upgrade entries. Amounts change by country, so check the listing itself; we do not publish prices for anyone, ours included.
Is Milkloft available yet?
